Transform into Your Best Self at P.S. 246 The Poe Center

In collaboration with Thrive Collective, I had the opportunity to be a part of the P.S. 246 family and collaborate with their students to create a permanent piece of history in their school playground. The Poe Center has a central theme of transformation geared towards the growth of their students. To convey this, we decided that the main figure would be the transformation of a butterfly. Throughout the butterfly transformation, there are other elements of growth and change, such as the sun transitioning into the moon and a flower accompanied by growing buds.

Thank you to everyone on the Thrive Collective team that worked on this project to bring it to a reality and for the staff of P.S. 246 for being nothing but warm to me during my time there!

The Road Map at Judith Kaye High School

In collaboration with Thrive Collective, I was given the opportunity to develop a mural with and for the Students of Judith S. Kaye High School.

Connections to the Past and Present

This piece was commissioned by ArtBridge in partnership with Woodside NYCHA Housing and City Artist Corps in an effort to connect with Woodside Housing Residents using art. This piece is supposed to depict the connections that we have all had with each other through that last couple of years. It has been hard for everyone and it shows. There has been so much loss that we have had to seclude ourselves to our homes as a means of safely and ultimately cutting outside human contact for a while.

Unseen Tears

In the past, my traditional and digital art has included women from history and or mythology who have been hurt by others due to my own hurt that I have suddenly had to come to terms with. I realized that I was not able to find justice just as those women and many others that have not. So, I decided that my form of justice is this type of "feminine-dark" art. I want the women of the past, present, and future to know that "I see you, even if no one else does."

Yami-Kawaii

This series Is what I like to believe is my descent into Noir Art. Due to my love for Japanese fashion and pop-culture I researched about this lovely, gruesome, cute, style called Yami-Kawaii. Combined with my love of skulls, these pieces were fun to create base of this gory/adorable fashion trend and I will make more in the future.
